Enrollment

Please Note:
The deadline for Non-Resident Enrollment is June 15.

What do you need?
Parents of entering students are asked to present the following items at the time of registration: 

1. Certified Birth Certificate  
2. Social Security Card 
3. Alabama Certified Immunization Record - Up-to-Date (students MUST have the 2nd measles immunization prior to entering school) 
4. Two Proofs of Residency (Accepted proofs listed below)
   1.  Lease agreement or Mortgage papers
   2.  Voter registration card
   3.  Driver’s license
   4.  Tag receipt
   5.  Property tax statement
   6.  Current utility bill 

If you are a legal guardian for the child you must provide legal documentation of guardianship.

Enrollment
In an effort to eliminate barriers, school admission requirements are as follows:
The enrollment of children and youth experiencing homelessness, unaccompanied youth, migratory students, students in Foster Care, neglected and delinquent, immigrant children and youth, and English Learners shall not be denied or delayed due to any of the following
barriers:

• Lack of birth certificate
• Lack of school records or transcripts
• Lack of immunization or health records
• Lack of transportation
• Lack of proof of residency
• Guardianship or custody requirements

Procedures for identifying students are based on the following documents:

English Learners / Immigrant Students - Upon registration, the Home Language Survey will be administered in an effort to identify such students.

Migrant - Upon registration, an Alabama Employment Form will be administered in an effort to identify such students.

Homeless / Unaccompanied Youth - Upon registration, a Student Residency Questionnaire will be administered in an effort to identify such students.

Children in Foster Care – Upon notification of foster care status, Enterprise City Schools will follow procedures for children in foster care and collaborate with the local child care agency.

Neglected and Delinquent - At present, there are no locally operated residential or correctional facilities within the Enterprise City Schools attendance zones.

*Disclosure of your child’s social security number (SSN) is voluntary.  If you elect not to provide an SSN, a temporary identification number will be generated and utilized instead.  Your child’s SSN is being requested for use in conjunction with enrollment in school as provided in Ala. Admin. Code  §290-3-1.02(2)(b)(2).  It will be used as a means of identification in the statewide student management system.

Non Resident Enrollment
If you are a non-resident requesting enrollment to Enterprise City Schools, please complete the Non-Resident form and turn it in to the Central Office. Deadline for Non-Resident Enrollment is June 15.

Translations
Translations in various languages can be obtained through the website or persons may notify the school if a translation for any information is needed.
