I am honored to serve as Principal at Brookwood Elementary School. This is my 34th year in education and I’ve enjoyed each and every day. I truly love this profession.
     I taught Social Studies at Coppinville Jr. High School for 13 years. At the time, Coppinville was all seventh grade and a very unique school. I really enjoyed my days in the classroom, and I enjoy seeing the successes of former students. I also had the opportunity to coach Girl’s Basketball while at Coppinville. I served as Assistant Principal for 5 years before being named Principal at the Early Education Center.
     Enterprise Early Education Center opened its doors in August 2009. I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to help open a brand new school as the principal. The Early Ed Center was a wonderful and unique start for our city's kindergarten students.  We transitioned EEEC to an elementary school in the fall of 2021 and we are now known as the Brookwood Bears.  I am very fortunate to work with such an awesome staff. Every staff member has two common traits/goals: we all work extremely hard and everyone loves children.
     We have wonderful students and parents. We have a very strong PTO Organization as well as a very involved Parental Volunteer Program. It truly takes us all working together. I really enjoy coming to work each day.
     My lovely wife Lisa and I have been married for over 20 years. We have known one another since Jr. High School. She is a Nurse Practitioner with the State of Alabama.   We have one son Nate, who is 21 years old. He attends the University of Alabama, ROLL TIDE!!  I also have a step-daughter, Amy, who is a graduate of the University of Alabama & Birmingham School of Law. We enjoy spending time together as a family. We spend time at the beach whenever we can. Nate and I enjoy hunting & fishing, basically anything outdoors. I also enjoy reading and coin collecting. I grew up on a farm and I love the country!!
     I truly understand that I have wonderful opportunities each and every day to help mold and shape our children. I am constantly trying to spread the good news to anyone who will listen about all the good things that are happening at Brookwood. I consider it an honor and a privilege to be the Principal. We appreciate you sharing your children with us; we know they are your most prized possession. We look forward to working with you in the future.
