Mr. Stephen Phillips

After graduating from Auburn University with his bachelor's degree in 2010, Stephen Phillips began his career as a mathematics teacher at Valley High School. After two years he returned to Ozark, his hometown, to teach at D.A. Smith Middle School. In 2014 he began teaching at Enterprise High School, where he served as department chair for five years. In 2016, he earned his master's degree in Instructional Leadership and Administration from Troy Dothan.

Prior to becoming Assistant Principal at EHS, Mr. Phillips was the CTE Director at the Carroll High School Career Center, and most recently was the Assistant Principal at Coppinville Junior High School.

Mr. Phillips oversees Curriculum and Instruction and is passionate about providing high-quality instruction for our students at EHS. He also works with the Foundations team, which works to improve the school climate and ensure a safe learning environment for the students, faculty, and staff at EHS.

Mr. Phillips is married to Kathy Phillips, who teaches Kindergarten at Hillcrest Elementary School. They have a daughter, Caroline, who will turn 2 this fall. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and playing tennis and chess.
