A WARM HELLO TO YOU!
Please allow me to introduce some very important people in my life, my family. My husband, Rob, and I met while at Auburn University. We've been married since December 2002. He is a native of Enterprise, attended Hillcrest Elementary and graduated from EHS in 1994. Rob is a Fisheries Biologist and works for the Alabama Department of Conservation & Natural Resources. We have 3 precious children: Graham, Avery & Ellie. Our newest 4-legged family member, Sadie, is a sweet Golden Doodle. We are members of First Baptist Church Enterprise where we teach Sunday school to middle & high school students. My family really enjoys spending time together! We are passionate about what our children enjoy: Tennis & Dance. We also love RV camping, playing board games, weekly Dominoes with our Neighbors, cooking/grilling, fishing, boating, tubing, kayaking, swimming, swing sets, zip lines, bike riding & LAUGHING OUT LOUD whenever possible.
I grew up in Lilburn, GA (a suburb of Atlanta) the youngest of three girls. My dad, Clyde, worked with IBM for 42 years. He went to heaven on June 30, 2021. My mom, Jane, taught high school home economics and had a successful home business. She met her Savior in June 2019 after suffering from Altzheimers Disease. My loss my oldest sister, Katy, in 2008 to cancer. She and her husband, Tim, have 2 daughters, my beautiful nieces: Ashley & Shannon. They live in Cary, North Carolina. My other sister, Jennifer, is a licensed counselor and married to Lyle who teaches high school history. They live in Jachin, Alabama. Although I've endured a lot of loss in my family, I stand firm in my faith and trust in God's promises that I will see them again.
I was a stay-at-home mom for 5 wonderful years and I cherished every moment of it, but I'm happy to return to the classroom! I was in Odyssey of the Mind in elementary school and identified gifted in the area of creativity. I'm an out-of-the-box thinker and I encourage students to THiNK DiFFeReNtLY about the world around them. I'm honored to be a part of Gifted Education for Enterprise City Schools!
