Military Family Support

Enterprise, a progressive city with a population of approximately 29,000, is located in Southeast Alabama about 5 miles west of Fort Novosel, Alabama.  Fort Novosel is the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence that trains military, civilian and international personnel in aviation and leadership skills, integrates Army aviation warfighting doctrine and requirements and sustains a commitment to the well-being of soldiers and their families.

The Enterprise City School System is committed to serving those stationed at Fort Novosel, as approximately 30% of our student population is a part of the Fort Novosel family.  We were the recipient of the Alabama 2022 Inaugural Purple Star Schools distinction and are one of only a few school systems in the State of Alabama who have earned the Purple Star Schools distinction system-wide.  

We celebrate our military students and families with numerous special events throughout the year, such as Veteran's Day assemblies, Month of the Military Child events, Military Appreciation Night at EHS football games and more.  We are proud to offer Student2Student clubs throughout our school system at each of our elementary, junior high and high schools.  If you have any questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to one of our Military Student/Family Support Points of Contact at the school or district level.
