Sitework for Enterprise High School Could Begin Sooner Than Scheduled

John Woodham, Architect for the construction of Hillcrest Elementary School and Enterprise High School, reported at the regular meeting of the Enterprise City Board of Education on February 26, 2008 that sitework for the new Enterprise High School could begin as early as June 2008. The original schedule called for the work to begin July 1st. Mr. Woodham also reported that the Alabama Building Commission had agreed to allow the plans to reduce the required number of toilets for events that would be held in gymnasiums. This will result in considerable savings for the construction while still providing an adequate number of toilets for attendees at events.

At the meeting Mr. Woodham gave a detailed report of the schematic plans for the high school, including drawings of a proposed 1800-2000 seat auditorium that were presented for the first time.

Pictures of the plans may be viewed at this website.
