I. Application Procedures and Requirements In order to be considered complete, applications must include all information called for in the application form, plus the following: three completed Certified Personnel: Reference Forms (included in packet); college transcript(s); valid Alabama teaching certificate; for teaching positions, verification of "Highly Qualified" status; copy of applicant's social security card. Attachment of a photograph is optional, but may prove to be beneficial in the event that interviewers experience difficulty in recalling a particular applicant.
The application must be completed in the applicant's handwriting, and all applicable questions must be answered in the space provided. Responses will be a factor in the overall evaluation of the applicant. The application becomes the property of the Enterprise City Schools upon its submission, and the applicant releases all rights to retrieve it or any portion of its contents.
The application will be kept on active status for three years as of the year in which it was filed. At the time, it will be placed in an inactive file unless a written request has been received to extend the time for another calendar year.
II. Formal Interview Procedures and Requirements Following the receipt of the completed application, the applicant will have his/her application placed in a file in the Superintendent's Office.
As vacancies occur, the appropriate administrator(s) will select and notify those applicants with whom they wish to conduct a formal interview.
III. Recommendation for Employment On the basis of factors outlined in A and B above, applicants will be selected by the appropriate administrator(s) to be recommended to the Superintendent for employment. The Superintendent will accept or reject the recommendation and, in the event of acceptance, recommend the applicant to the Board of Education for its acceptance or rejection. The applicant will then be notified of the Board's action. If approved, the applicant will then issued a "letter of intent" which serves as a contractual agreement until the formal contract is issued and accepted.
Those applicants who reach the formal interview stage of the employment process but are not recommended for employment will be so notified by the interviewing administrator(s).
